Here’s our new kitchen block from the front. Like many traditional tibetan style buildings, there are no external windows on the ground floor for security. The second storey will provide some protection to the southern shrine room from wind and rain, and hopefully stop further damage to the frescoes.

After winter and earthquake related delays the timber frames for the doors and windows were finally delivered from Tukuche, allowing the upper floor masonry to continue. Things are on track to be finished this year, thanks to everyone for their support.
